Wyndham Destinations CEO’s vision was as audacious as the challenge was huge: to disrupt the travel industry by creating a completely new lifestyle brand from the combination of two travel industry icons.
When timeshare leader Wyndham Destinations acquired Travel + Leisure, the CEO set his sights on maximizing the value of these two iconic brands. The opportunity was clear: combine Wyndham’s expertise in membership travel with the world’s most influential travel magazine to revitalize the travel industry with a new, global premium lifestyle brand.
Collaborating closely with Wyndham Destinations’ CMO, DeSantis Breindel developed the comprehensive brand strategy that moved Travel + Leisure from a media company to a fully experiential brand ecosystem committed to helping travelers dream, discover and deliver their next extraordinary adventure.
We rebranded Wyndham Destinations as Travel + Leisure Co. and developed a brand architecture and portfolio strategy that recast Wyndham Destinations as the portfolio sub-brand for its legacy timeshare business. A new, holistic customer experience strategy seamlessly integrated travel services, rich content, ecommerce and membership clubs into a single platform branded as Travel + Leisure GO.
Having completed its successful transition from Wyndham Destinations to Travel + Leisure Co., with a unified portfolio, a dynamic brand identity and an innovative customer experience, the new brand is capturing a world of leisure travelers ready to travel again. The company is expanding its reach and leadership position into new frontiers of global travel, becoming the singular digital destination for turning travel inspiration into reality.
